PacifiqueBio is led by academia and industry trained PhD level scientists with decades of combined experience in the fields of metabolism, nutrition, autoimmunity, immuno-oncology, and immunology.

Our mission is to deliver accurate, reliable, life-transforming testing services at an affordable cost. By using Mass Spectrometry and Multiplexing technologies we provide robust platforms for nutrition, metabolism, and inflammation related testing. Our cutting-edge technologies will help individuals maintain healthy balance in the body by regulating inflammation.

Wellness And Inflammation States

Diet, immune status, rate of metabolism, genetics and exposure to toxic environmental factors determine the difference between wellness and disease.  Over- or under-activation of some basic physiological processes creates a chemical imbalance within the body which often manifests in the form of both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions.

Sudden breakdown of the immune balance upon severe bacterial or viral exposure such as covid, in some patients triggers severe inflammatory reactions, which is an example of acute condition. Whereas diabetes, autoimmunity and long covid represent chronic diseases.

What Is Inflammation?

Upon encountering infection or toxic chemicals, the body activates the immune system by sending inflammatory cells and cytokines (substances that activate more inflammatory cells). This in turn traps the bacteria or viruses and initiates rebuilding of the injured tissues. Typically, once these cells have done their job, the inflammation is resolved, and the body comes back to normalcy. However, if the immune system remains active it leads to chronic inflammation.

Chronic Inflammation

Even in the absence of outside danger if the body still perceives there is a danger, it continues to send inflammatory signals throughout the body or specific organs. This creates a state of persistent immune activation and organ damage.

More than 50% of all deaths in the world have been linked to inflammation-related diseases such as Alzheimers, heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, long covid and autoimmune and neurodegenerative conditions. Even depression and anxiety have been known to be associated with chronic inflammation.

This means that identification, management, and resolution of inflammation is key to healthy living.
